Who we are

Aurora Neighborhood Safety Team is a grassroots, community driven volunteer organization focused on presence, awareness, communication, and neighborhood communities.our goal is simple: help people feel safer, more informed, and more connected during community events, public gatherings and times of uncertainty. Through volunteer marshaling, event support, neighborhood awareness, and community resource outreach, we work to create calm, organized, and welcoming environments for everyone.we are not law enforcement, and we are not a security company. We are a community presence built on observation, communication, de escalation and support. In emergencies we always encourage contacting 911 immediately.

leadership & experience

ANST was founded and organized by community members with years of real world experience in public safety environments, event operations, crowd management, and community response.our leadership includes over 10 years of experience in the security field, including:
- event and crowd control
- public interaction and de escalation
- emergency respones coordination
- armed and unarmed security training
- situational awareness and observation
- high traffic venue operations
- active shooter training
- team coordination and incident reportingthat experience plays a major role in how anst approaches community marshaling and volunteer support at events. we understand how important calm communication, visibility, organization and professionalism are in large public spaces. our goal is to help organizers create environments where families, vendors, performers and attendees feel welcomed and safe.working in environments where local law enforcement agencies were often part of emergency response or operation backup also helped shape ANST'S PHILOSOPHY. IT REINFORCED THE BELIEF THAT GRASSROOTS ORGANIZATIONS CAN SERVE AS AN IMPORTANT BRIDGE BETWEEN COMMUNITIES AND PUBLIC SAFETY AGENCIES, HELPING REDUCE FEAR, Improve COMMUNICATION AND BUILD TRUST THROUGH HUMAN CONNECTION AND VISIBLE COMMUNITY PRESENCE.ANST believes meaningful SAFETY BEGINS WITH RELATIONSHIPS, consistency AND SHOWING UP FOR ONE ANOTHER.

ANST is a volunteer neighborhood support team with individuals from various organizations such as Grassroots Organizations, Rapid Responders, School Faculty, and many more. We are not law enforcement or private security. For emergencies we always call 911.
